Cold Spring, NY: NYC Chapter, Cold Spring Caminito

We will walk around the Village of Cold Spring in the Hudson Valley enjoying the cultural and natural sites and sights! The hike will be mostly flat but there are a couple of steep but short stretches and staircases. The hike will last 3-4 hours and cover 7-8 miles.

This Caminito is accessible by Metro-North. Train riders meet at Grand Central at the clock at 9:35am. We will take the 9:50am Hudson Line Metro North train to Cold Spring, arriving at 11:14. Train riders can also catch the train at intermediate stops.

Drivers can meet the train riders at the end of Main Street east of the tracks (not the river side), where there is a micro park and public restrooms. Drivers can park on side streets where permitted or in the Metro-North lot on the west side of the train tracks (free on weekends).

Please bring bug spray, a hat and sunblock, water and a snack or light lunch. There is also a place early on to buy snacks/drinks. After the hike, there is an optional late lunch/early dinner in the village. There are opportunities to leave the walk early. Trains to Grand Central run once an hour. There are bathrooms and porta-potties along the way.
