Clifton VA: Capital Area Chapter, Hemlock Trail hike and wine tasting at Paradise Valley

Hemlock Overlook Park: There is varied terrain including steep hills and rocky sections. Hiking sticks recommended. Trail runners are fine. Bring water/snacks as there are no water services until the end of the route. There is a well-maintained port-a-john just past the half-way point. We will have a pack demo after the hike at Paradise Springs. If you’d like feedback on your Camino gear, please bring your loaded pack. Please leave canine companions at home.

Paradise Springs Winery (~12:30pm, post-hike): The winery has a large picnic area for the group to gather. Wine, hard cider, sodas, water and food are available for purchase. Visitors may bring their own food and non-alcoholic beverages. If you’d like to join the winery visit but not the hike, please do! Winery visit registration is not required.
