Clifton VA: Capital Area Chapter, Hemlock Overlook/Bull Run Trail Hike

Join Chapter Coordinator Trisha Robertson for a hike combining Hemlock Overlook and Bull Run Trails for a 7.5 mile route with approximately 715 ft elevation change. Hiking sticks are recommended as we will encounter varied terrain including some steep hills and rocky sections. Trail runners will be fine. There are no water services until the end of the route so bring water/snacks. The hike should take about 3 hours at a moderate pace. Please leave canine companions at home and be prepared to Leave No Trace. Restrooms available post-hike at Paradise Springs.

Meeting Point/Parking: 13220 Yates Ford Road, Clifton VA 20124 — gravel parking at the end of the road, right side. Look for our Chapter Camino flag. (In the event this area is full, additional parking is available a little earlier on Yates Ford Road across from Paradise Springs Winery.)

Post-Hike / Paradise Springs Winery: Please consider joining us for some post-hike fellowship. The winery has a large picnic area with tables where we can gather after the hike. Wine, hard cider, sodas, water and food are available for purchase. Visitors are allowed to bring their own food and non-alcoholic beverages
