Ring in the New Year with a brisk hike at McDowell Nature Preserve in Steele Creek and shake off the after-effects of the send-off of 2025. We’ll meet at the waterfront parking area to test out several of their trails, for a walk of 5-6 miles. This is a natural surface trail with an assortment of small hills. Footing is generally good, although wet weather leading up to the day could leave us with a few slick spots. Hiking poles are recommended, although not necessary.
