Go John Trailhead inside the Cave Creek Regional Park (37019 N Lava Lane, Cave Creek) NOTE: There is a $7/car entrance fee to the Cave Creek Regional Park. Directions: From Carefree Highway & 32nd Street, take 32nd St North appx 2 miles to enter park. Continue right after pay station ($7 per car) on Cave Creek Parkway for 1 mile. Turn left at Mountain/Tonalite Dr and continue straight for .2 miles to trailhead parking lot on left. All roads are paved. Use Go John Trailhead or GPS coordinates 33.832716 -112.001196

Go John Trail is a 5.8-mile heavily trafficked loop trail located near Cave Creek, Arizona that features beautiful wildflowers and is rated as moderate to difficult. The trail is primarily used for hiking, running, horses, and mountain biking and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

Elevation: 2088-2520 ft (total undulating gain of 1069 ft)

Time: 3 hours due to awe and photo opps.

There is water & restrooms at the trailhead.

Bring sturdy walking shoes, sunglasses, sunscreen, snacks if desired, hat, and we recommend at least 2 L of water. Walking poles are not required but recommended.
