Come Join us to welcome the warmer weather and to view the beautiful blue bells along the conodoguinet Creek. We begin our hike at at the parking lot of the Scott Farm.
There is a paved parking lot. You will see a large white barn and an old farmhouse. It is immediately on the left after you cross the bridge. The farm is used by Cumberland Valley Appalachian Trail Club to store equipment.
We will hike along the Appalachian Trail and the banks of the Conodoguinet Creek for about 1 mile. In mid-April there should be lots of Bluebells and other wildflowers in bloom. After crossing Sherwood Drive we climb about half way up the Blue Mountain. The total length is 6 miles. Bring water and a snack.
Please remember to RSVP and also to call should your plans change and you are unable to make it. Otherwise we are holding up the hike to wait for you.
