Please join us for a walk and tour of Woodlawn Cemetery in the Bronx, NY. The walk will be facilitated by Paul Brunn and the Tour itself by Nestor Danyluk. This walking tour will involve many stops and will last 2 to 3 hours depending on weather interest and speed with at least one indoor break. Mileage will be about 3 miles. There is a $10 fee which goes to the Woodlawn Conservancy payable by cash or check the day of the hike.

We will be taking the 10:12 Metro North train at Grand Central Terminal arriving a the Woodlawn station about a half hour later. If you want to travel with the group please meet at the Clock in the Terminal at 10AM. Before meeting please buy a round trip City Ticket. Woodlawn station can be accessed by other stations on the Harlem line of the Metro North Railroad. we will walk a few minutes from the station to the cemetery’s Webster gate. There are other mass transit options to get there. Using Mass Transit to get there is encouraged. If you are driving there is a limited number of spaces available to park inside the cemetery gates, otherwise you can look for street parking. If you wish to park inside you must be at the Webster Gate by 10:50. You must also let us know by 1/27 if you wish to park inside.

There is also an optional post-caminito late lunch at a nearby pub.

Bad weather such as icy roads and trails, rain or heavy snow will postpone the walk until Sunday, March 2. Bathrooms are available at the start of the walk and at a point farther along the walk we will take a short indoor break. Please dress for the weather, bring water and possibly a snack.
