Bronx NY: New York City Chapter, Spring Woodlawn Cemetery Caminito and Walking Tour

Please join the NYC Chapter for a walking tour of Woodlawn Cemetery in the Bronx on Sunday 4/12. A place with many notable residents and historic landscape design including many Great trees. The walking tour will involve many stops and will last 2 to 3 hours depending on weather interest and speed. with at least one break Mileage is about 3 miles. There is a $10 fee which goes to the Woodlawn Conservancy payable by cash or check the day of the walk. Access to Woodlawn Cemetery is via the Metro North Harlem line, other transit options or car. We encourage the use of Mass Transit. If you want to park onsite please let us Know asap. If you want to take metro North with the group please meet us at the clock at grand central at 10AM We will be taking the 10:17 train to Woodlawn. This is a Harlem line train ending at Crestwood but we will be going to Woodlawn. If you are running late just take this train. Please purchase a ticket before hand Upon arrival we will walk a few minuted to the Webster gate at 4199 Webster Avenue off 233 St. If you are driving please arrive at the Webster gate at 10:45/50 to park inside the gate. If you are arriving by other means please also arrive at this time. Please do not go to the other entrance at Jerome Avenue. Route will be thru the cemetery plus an optional extension into the Woodlawn Hts. neighborhood for an optional post walk pub lunch at the Rambling House. Please bring cash for the meal. Bathrooms are available on the walk.
