Boyds MD: Capital Area Chapter, Schaeffer Farm Trail Hike

Join Chapter member Dottie Bumb for a hike along the Schaeffer Farm Trail, which is a multi surface trail with stream and road crossings over approximately 9 miles. This is a loop trail with places to loop back and shorten if needed. There is a porta john and a restroom along the start of the trail. Bring bug spray as the weather warms up. Snacks/lunch recommended. Bring water. Hiking poles would be helpful for stream crossings and hills. This is a mountain bike trail and while hikers have the right of way, there are many curves and hills. As always, be prepared to Leave No Trace and no pets, please.
