Big Flat Mountain, VA: Shenandoah Valley Chapter, August Chapter Hike

Please join us on Saturday, August 23, at 10am, as we hike Big Flat Mountain Loop via the Appalachian Trail in Shenandoah National Park. This is a 5.3 mile loop with an elevation gain of 935 feet. The trail difficulty is rated moderate, with the steepest climb at the beginning.

We will meet at the Loft Mountain Wayside Parking Lot (mile 79.5) at 10am. After the hike, we will have lunch at Loft Mountain Wayside. Please RSVP by emailing shenandoahvalley@americanpilgrims.org.

There is a fee to enter Shenandoah National Park, so please let us know in your RSVP if you have a pass and if you would like to carpool, as well as whether you are coming from the Harrisonburg or Charlottesville side of the mountain.
