Join Hike Leader David Bennett on a 7.5 mile hike along the Cabin John Stream Valley Trail. This is a well-maintained trail, largely in wooded areas with some hills and short sections of sidewalk. Those who use poles will find them helpful. Bring water, electrolytes, and a snack. Please, no pets and be prepared to Leave No Trace. Meeting Point(s): We will meet at the Cabin John Regional Park, Bethesda, MD 20817. Enter from Tuckerman Lane (not Westlake Drive!) and park in the spaces nearest to the playground ahead. We will then carpool to the Cabin John Local Park to start our hike in the upstream direction.

Northern Virginia hikers: You may find it easier to meet us at 9:45 a.m. at the Cabin John Local Park. If you take the Beltway across the Potomac, you must exit immediately from the right lane onto Cabin John Parkway (and avoid the usual backup beyond). Follow the Clara Barton Parkway to the Cabin John exit. Turn right onto Macarthur Blvd. Drive to Cabin John Local Park entrance on the left (immediately after tennis courts; before traffic light). Park on the right of the entrance road past the tennis courts.
