Arlington VA: Capital Area Chapter, National Mall Christmas Tree Hike

Come join Coordinator Jim Larocco for our third annual Christmas Tree Hike on the Mall (6-7 miles). From the Columbia Island Marina we will cross the 14th St bridge, walk around the Tidal Basin and then head to the Capitol on the east side of the mall to reach the Capitol Christmas Tree for a photo op. We will return along the north side of the Mall to the National Christmas Tree on the Ellipse. Then back to the Marina for a steaming hot cup of cocoa at the Island Grill or an another warming beverage.
There will be plenty of opportunities to peel off to see a museum, ice skate on the mall, do some Christmas shopping or cut back the mileage. We encourage the wearing of Santa caps as well as our chapter pins or patches, which will be available (and are wonderful gifts for your camino angels).
