Presentation on the Voie de Tours, France

PRESENTER: David Ryan, author of Wandering in the Clear Light of New Mexico, The Gentle Art of Wandering, coauthor of the 3rd Edition of 60 Hikes within 60 Miles: Albuquerque, and several other walking and hiking books.
DETAILS: We’ll begin by gathering 15 minutes before the event starts so everyone can get signed in, get food organized, and fill a plate. Please bring easy, finger foods – nothing elaborate. Then we’ll have a wine tasting courtesy of Total Wine. Following the wine tasting (limited to 20 people, though we can have up to 30 attend) the evening presentation will begin.
DESCRIPTION: The Voie de Tours (or Via Turonensis) follows the GR655 long-distance hiking route. David will speak about his initial hike on the Via Turonensis when he walked part of it in 2024 from Paris to Chartres, as well as his hike from Tours to Pons this past April. This is a lesser-known pilgrim way, that just may be what you’re looking for!
