Join David Larwa, a modern-day pilgrim, and learn why the Camino de Santiago (Way of Saint James) was one of the most important pilgrimages during the Middle Ages and about the rise of its current popularity. He has walked over 8,000 kilometers in Spain,
Portugal, and France over the last several years. David has experienced serving as a hospitalero Salamanca, Zamora, and Ribadiso, and Ponferrada Spain.
During this presentation David will share some Spanish history and personal insights gained while traveling at three miles an hour. He would like to encourage people of all ages to attend. The session is for individuals who prefer to sit, those who walk, and those interested in walking. He will end his presentation by sharing maps, books, and backpacking gear used for walking the Camino de Santiago.
