This event is still in the planning stages, but it will include potlucks, hiking the Rim Trail, visiting Christ in the Desert Benedictine Monastery, a lavender farm, and possibly a pilgrimage to a morada and talk by a member of the Penitentes, a group unique to northern New Mexico. There will be possibilities for overnight stays including lodging and camping in tents on the banks of the Rio Chama, or in campers (bring your own). Please let us know as soon as possible if you may interested in participating in what promises to be a unique and joyous celebration of pilgrimage in a very special place. This weekend celebrates Indigenous People’s Day, with events starting on Friday night and concluding on Monday. It will be possible to participate in all or part of the events. Email either to the Chapter (Albuquerque@americanpilgrims.org) or directly to Wanda (wanda@oldabiquiu.com) to express your interest in any or all of the activities.
