Come join us for a fun and friendly pilgrim 5.2 mile easy hike on the Hogback Valley, Roundup and Sand Canyon Loop at Red Rock Canyon Open Space. This easy to moderate social hike is a great chance to stretch your legs, meet other pilgrims and enjoy one of Colorado Springs’ most beautiful local trails.

Expect rolling terrain, red rock formations, hogback ridgelines and canyon views. There is moderate elevation gain, approximately 764 feet, making this a great option for everyone no matter your level of fitness or experience. Plan to meet at 8:15 AM (MDT) in the parking lot so that we can start hiking by 8:30 AM.

Colorado weather is always variable, so please dress in layers and bring a brimmed hat. Bring water and a snack, and if you use hiking poles, bring them. Mid-hike, we will pause for a shell ceremony, if there is a 1st time pilgrim walking the Camino in 2026. And please be sure to sign up for the hike in case we need to reach out about condition changes.

After the hike, we will gather at Mother Muff’s Kitchen & Spirits for anyone who would like to stay, eat and continue the conversation.
