Fairfax Station VA: Capital Area Chapter, Fountainhead Regional Park Hike

Join Chapter member Megan Downey for a 6.5 mile out-and-back hike at Fountainhead Regional Park. It will be an easy-moderate hike on a well-groomed trail. Trail shoes are fine. Bring hiking poles, if you want the practice,
Bring water and snacks, and dress for the weather. If you’d like to make this a practice hike, feel free to join your hike leader in wearing your Camino-ready pack. The hike will take 2.5 -3 hours. Porta Potties are available in the parking lot. No pets please.
Meeting Point: 10875 Hampton Road, Fairfax Station, VA 22039. Free parking and entry (The trailhead and parking lot are before the main gate of the park). Parking lot is past the archery range/shooting center (on your left after you enter the park), to the right at the y-intersection, past the garbage dumpsters. It is the first large parking lot you will get to on your right. Look for our Camino Flag near the trailhead and the leader’s vehicle (VW Beetle).
