Following the hike we will hold a shell ceremony for any first-time pilgrims who are planning a spring/summer camino. The pilgrim shell ceremony is an age-old tradition that is practiced all over the world. Pilgrims will be presented a scallop shell to wear on their backpack to identifying to all they meet as fellow pilgrims. Please indicate on the registration form if you wish to receive a shell. (Note: a shell ceremony will also be held in July.)

For those interested in a longer hike, following the shell ceremony and a lunch/snack break we can continue on and hike approximately 3 miles at the Annett Nature Center.
