Phoenix, AZ: Valley of the Sun Chapter, Shell Ceremony

Join us to celebrate Spring pilgrims and send them off with a special blessing that has been used through the ages. Every 2026 pilgrim will receive a shell from our chapter, many have been brought back from Santiago by last year’s pilgrims, to carry on your journey and be reminded of the support you have at home and the many who have walked before you – not only in recent years but over centuries. Your friends and family are welcome to attend as well.

Bring a dish to share if you are able at 4PM and we will start the Shell Ceremony at about 4:30 where a blessing will be bestowed on all outgoing pilgrims as part of an ancient tradition.
