Charlotte, NC: Charlotte Chapter, Little Sugar Creek Greenway Hike
Join us as we return to the Little Sugar Creek Greenway for a mid-winter urban hike. Our trail will be about 8 miles, thru Freedom Park to a turn-around point at the Captain Jack statue in Elizabeth Park. For those looking for a shorter walk, this is an out-and-back path, so you could turn around at any point. This is a flat hike on paved surfaces, so hiking poles are not necessary.
After the hike, we’ll stay at Park Road Shopping Center for lunch at Sir Edmond Halley’s Freehouse.
We’ll start from the parking area at Park Road Shopping Center by Caribou Coffee. Restrooms are available at Caribou, in Freedom Park, and at some thoughtful shops in the Midtown area.
