Potomac MD: Capital Area Chapter, Great Falls Hike

Join Hike Leader Roberta Theis for a 5-6 mile hike at Great Falls. The hike through the woods and along the Potomac River is mild to moderate. Poles are recommended to assist crossing two or three streams. Restrooms available in the parking lot area. All ages welcome. Please no pets.
Meeting Point: Great Falls Parking Lot (Meet at far end). 11710 MacArthur Blvd., Potomac, MD 20854. Park Entrance fee is $20 per car or free for those with a National Park Pass.
Please note: If you carpool with someone who has a National park pass, you will avoid the entrance fee. If you have a National Park pass and are willing to transport non pass holders through the entrance gate, please reply to capitalarea@americanpilgrims.org. Non park pass holders can park at the entrance on Great Falls Road/MacArthur Blvd. When you register, let us know if you do not have a park pass and want a ride from the park entrance into the park. Roberta has two passes and can take seven non pass holders into the park. For those who would like a ride, please meet at the park entrance no later than 9:45am.
