Bundle up and join us for a cozy early-evening walk through Let’s Glow SF, the city’s dazzling winter projection art festival where building facades are transformed into towering, animated artworks with high-tech projection mapping. Grab a hot cocoa or other warm drink from the Ferry Building and meet us out front to begin our short and easy stroll together. On this Caminito de Luz, we’ll take in eight glowing installations throughout downtown, ending at the foot of the Transamerica Building with a radiant show celebrating the evolution of the city.
Schedule: Meet us at 5:30 PM at the north end of the SF Ferry Building, next to Gott’s Roadside restaurant. BYO hot drink or arrive early and grab one at a cafe inside (Blue Bottle, Red Bay). We expect to finish up at the Transamerica Building by 7:30 PM and then walk back to the Montgomery Street BART/Muni Station on Market Street.
Level of Difficulty: This is an easy walk and open to all! Total mileage is about 2.5 miles. Entirely city sidewalks and virtually flat (total elevation gain of 60 feet).
Advance online registration is required. Click the Register Now button below to sign up. Because space is limited, please register if/when you are certain you can attend. Thank you!
Cancellation: If you are unable to attend, please email us as soon as possible at norcal@americanpilgrims.org so we can update our list.
Getting There: Take BART and avoid the hassle of driving and parking. Catch a BART train to the Embarcadero Station and exit up to Market Street. Walk east (towards the bay) to the Ferry Building.
What to Bring: Expect a chilly evening and wear your winter gear. Good walking shoes, light rain jacket in case of rain or drizzle — layers work well. Don’t forget gloves. Hiking poles aren’t necessary, but use rubber tips if you bring them. Your Clipper with enough funds pre-loaded for your transit rides.
