Please join us for a short walk to the Stone Street Historic District for their Oktoberfest Celebration On Saturday, September 27. Meet at 12 noon sharp at 230 Vesey St., NY, NY., Which is Brookfield Place, at the Winter Garden/Palm Court. Please use the bathrooms there before meeting us. Take the #1 Subway to the WTC stop and walk west to Brookfield Place. The walk itself is only about a half hour/2 miles. Alternatively you can just meet us at Stone Street, which is between Coenties Alley and William Street around 12:30/40. At Stone Street you can purchase German and American food as well as from other cuisines. And of course beer as well as other beverages. As you may know, pilgrims walked from all over Europe to reach Santiago. In the German speaking lands, The Camino/St. James Way is called the Jakobsweg. You can still walk these paths today. In fact, your leader today has walked parts of the Jakobsweg in Switzerland as well as parts of Caminos in Spain. On the walk, we celebrate all the Ways of St. James in Europe, here in New York.
