Bloomington, MN: Minnesota Chapter, Historic Old Cedar Avenue Bridge Hike
oin Coordinator Chuck Johnson and Bob Nistler as we explore & hike a combination of trails at the Old Cedar Avenue Bridge on Saturday, August 30th at 8:30 AM. It’s worth the trip just to see & walk across the five span truss bridge built in 1890 & restored as a pedestrian walking bridge. If you ever drove your car over it (back in the day), you’ll remember how narrow & dangerous it was with the heavy traffic). The hike itself will be 6-7 miles with minimum elevation on a variety of surfaces with some great views, including walking on a dirt trail along the MN River.
