Madrid, IA: Iowa Chapter, Evening Hike on the High Trestle Trail

Join us on Saturday, Aug. 9 for our annual five-mile round trip hike from Madrid (IA) along the High Trestle Trail to the bridge. We will arrive just as the bridge’s blue lights are illuminated!
We’ll meet near the restrooms at the trail parking lot in Madrid, which is located on the east side of Hwy 17. Please bring a flashlight and/or headlamp — it will be very dark on our walk back.
For anyone interested in a shorter hike, there is an option to park at a trailhead located approximately one mile east of the bridge, just south of Hwy 210. The address is listed as 2335 QF Lane in Madrid.
