PARKING: Meet at the White Oak Trail Parking Lot, which is pinned in the Google map here – White Oak Trail Parking lot map.
A State Park sticker is required.

HIKING: We plan to start out from the White Oak Trail parking lot and take the newly completed boardwalk from Lake Kegonsa State Park to Fish Camp County Park and back. The loop is about 3 miles total and includes lovely marshlands and birding. There is also a large expanse of prairie and a fair amount of woodland trails in the state park. We can be somewhat flexible in what we do based on the heat, sun and mosquito factors on that day, but with cooperative conditions, we’ll do the boardwalk. All trails and boardwalks are relatively flat, so hiking poles would be optional.

TAPAS: Bring a dish or beverage to share and a drinking cup. We will provide reusable plastic plates and forks. Bring a donativo if you wish to take home a Chapter Patch for your pack.

RESTROOM INFO: There are restrooms adjacent to the parking lot where we will meet, at Fish Camp Park, and in at least one or two other places.

Please RSVP by Monday, July 13 if you are attending so we can have reusable name tags ready. Thank you!
