Hike Information: Our five mile hike will start after the 10:00 AM Shell Ceremony and will follow the Penosha (Ojibwe word that means “long”) Trail. See trail map.

The Penosha Trail is a top attraction for hikers in the Brighton Recreation Area and is a hilly 5 mile loop that takes you through dense forests of hardwoods and pine. Along the way you will also encounter ponds, wetlands, and prairie.
