SE Michigan Chapter Hike on Saturday, April 26 at 10:00 AM
Location: Maybury State Park
MEETING LOCATION: 20145 Beck Road park entrance, NOT off Eight Mile Road. See Map with Entrance off Beck Road
The entrance off Beck Road is about 0.25 miles south of Eight Mile Road.
Follow the dirt entrance about 0.3 miles to the parking lot (also the horse staging area). The parking area has two pit toilets on cement slabs. Bring water and hiking snacks.

We will hike rain or shine, just like pilgrims on the Camino in Spain!

Caution: Road Construction is occurring on M-14 – please check before you leave!
NOTE: Vehicles need a State of Michigan Recreation Passport or purchase a day pass at the park entrance.

Description: The park has 6 miles of trails, shown in a GREEN color on the Maybury trail map in the adjoining picture.
The trails consist of several interconnecting loops leading from the parking areas through the wooded interior of the park and the grassland area leading to the pond. Since trail has circular loops, hiking less than six miles is an option.

The trail makes a perfect way to see the park on foot. In the spring, the area is filled with trilliums.
