Hike approximately 4 miles at Fort Miles & the Pinelands Nature Trail in Cape Henlopen State Park. We will explore the Fort Miles Historical area overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, hike the Pinelands Nature Trail and walk up a World War II era fire tower.
The walk will be on pavement, pine covered sand trail, and sand near the ocean. There is a bathroom at the start/finish.
Meet at the Fort Miles parking area in Cape Henlopen State Park – Fort Miles Historical Area, 15099 Cape Henlopen State Park, Lewes, DE 19958 at 2pm. There is no entrance fee to the State Park at this time. Follow the signs for Fort Miles.
