Albuquerque, NM: Albuquerque Chapter, Equinox Hike

A route that is approx. 4 miles in length. It features gravel and dirt pathways through wildlife habitats, an active farming area, and the many acequias that course through the valley of Albuquerque. We go through Los Poblanos Fields past the community farm, walking along the irrigation ditch west to cross Rio Grande Blvd and continue along the scenic acequia west and then south. We cross Montaño Blvd and over the bridge o Rio Grande Blvd , to walk to the Flying Star Cafe for drinks and/or brunch. Post break, we walk back to the parking area at Los Poblanos.

No need for hiking pols. Elevation gain is 57 feet. Dress appropriately for the weather. Bring water, a hat, sunscreen. Time for the walk is about 1.5 hours; include 1 hour if staying for Flying Star.
