This hike caps off our Are You Ready Series on the Lost Dog Wash Trailhead to Sunrise Trail where pilgrims will climb to the hitching post (approx 2.7 miles with 1100 ft of elevation gain) on the saddle, where we will join the Andrews-Kinsey trail for a trek down to the Adero Canyon Trailhead. We will stop for a restroom break, a snack, cool down by wetting any hats/shirts/buffs/hair and then we will head back the way we came. Andrews-Kinsey trail is a steady climb of 325 ft elevation gain over ~3 miles before descending back to Lost Dog Wash Trailhead. This is great prep for the walk from St Jean Pied de Port to Orisson or from Pamplona to Alto de Perdon.
Facilities: There are restrooms and water at the Lost Dog Trailhead and at the turnaround Adero Canyon Trail. Bring plenty of water (at least 2 liters is recommended), your hiking sticks, sun protection, first aid and nutrition.

Directions: From Shea Blvd, turn north on 124th Street, which ends at the entrance to the Lost Dog Wash Trailhead parking lot.

Bring: Sturdy walking shoes, water (at least 2 liters is recommended), a hat, sunscreen and sunglasses and a snack if desired. Walking sticks are not required on this hike, but could be useful. There is no shade on this trail, except at the TrailHead.
