Virginia Beach, VA: Southeast Virginia Chapter, Chapter Walk

The walk will be a lovely 8 mile combo of a loop and in-out return with hills, water views, marsh views and perhaps an eagle, egret, blue heron or two. First Landing State Park is rated #5 of 646 Virginia State Parks! There will be a turn around spot for folks who do not want to do the entire 8 miles.

The entry is off of Shore Drive and is well marked. There is a $7 charge for parking. If you have a receipt from REI, there is a coupon for entry on the bottom. We will meet at the Visitor Center at 9:45 and start walking at 10:00 AM. Although there is no RSVP, request you let us know you are coming so we don’t leave anyone behind. Request you include a cell number so we can let you know if we have to cancel due to weather.
