Park in the main (1st) parking lot for the Liberty Lake Regional Park (3707 S Zephyr Road, Liberty Lake, WA 99019) at 7:15am. Following our hike, we will meet up for additional conversation at New Love Coffee in Liberty Lake (21802 E Indiana Ave, Suite 102).
The hike is listed as 8.5 miles with 1,374 feet elevation gain. All Trails calls it “moderate” but some may feel it is “difficult.” These stats are from the beginning of the trailhead which is in the campground. When you include walking from the parking lot, it’s more like 9.5 miles. Plan for around 4-4.5…

Directions: From 1-90 in west Spokane, take Maple-Walnut exit 280 and head north on S. Walnut Street. Go two blocks and turn left (west) on W. 2nd Avenue. Go 1 mile staying in the right lane of the arterial as it becomes W. Sunset Boulevard, on Government Way. Turn right (north) on Government Way and drive 0.7 mile. Turn left (west) on W Greenwood Road. Drive 1 mile on Greenwood, bearing right at the fork with S. Indian Canyon Drive. Parking is on the left, with trailhead and additional parking up S. Rimrock Drive to the right.
