The Hoosier Chapter of American Pilgrims covers the state of Indiana, but is centered on Indianapolis. (Those of you in the northern part of the state have a choice as there also are chapters in South Bend and in Chicago.)
Broadly stated, the purpose of this local chapter is to keep members connected to the Camino and to introduce new people to the phenomenon. We plan to accomplish this in a number of ways, such as social events, hikes, mentoring future pilgrims and serving as a local host for hospitalero training through American Pilgrims.
Contact chapter coordinators, Brian Wong and David Cook via email for more information or to be added to the chapter email list.
Anyone living in northern Indiana who is interested in being on the chapter's email list should contact us at Hoosier@americanpilgrims.org. Please include your first and last name and your zip code.
Many peregrinos maintain blogs or online records before, during or after their Camino. We will happily list any submitted to us - just contact us with the details.
Chapter coordinator David Cook created a nice video of his 2012 Camino from León to Santiago that you can watch on YouTube.
Also, please join our Hoosiers on the Camino group on Facebook! It is a nice place to keep in touch, see faces, and share events and information with each other.
The chapter schedules walks, talks, potlucks, maintains a lending library of Camino-related books and much more!
To see what we’re doing, please visit the Local Chapter Events Calendar and select our chapter name in the "All Events Category" pull-down menu. This will filter to display only our chapter's events.
