A Zoom presentation and discussion with David Drury of Ashland, OR.

What if the 1300-year old Camino de Santiago were just a johnny-come-lately on the pilgrimage scene? What if the original end of the journey were not James’ tomb, but Land’s End? Join David Drury, an American Pilgrims chapter coordinator in southern Oregon, as he explores the evidence for pre-Christian Roman and Celtic pilgrim sites in Spain, and takes a long sidelong glance at the process of “heritage-ization,” in which fragments of ancient tradition and archeology form the basis for a new pilgrim narrative based not on St. James, but on Nature.

What to bring:

Curiosity and questions
Warm drink and good cheer
No mask 🙂

We look forward to seeing you!
