Thousand Oaks, CA: Ventura County Chapter, Los Padres – Los Robles loop hike

We offer 3 mile and 6 mile hike options with different starting times.
Our meeting point is at the Los Robles Trail Head Parking Lot, at the end of S. Moorpark Road. From here we’ll head down a block on S. Moorpark Road, turning right on Los Padres Dr. until we reach the well-marked Los Padres Trailhead in about 400 ft. The trail is canopied by oak trees, has several bridges and is mostly a single-track dirt trail. Here’s where you’ll encounter a challenging 650-ft climb to reach the Los Robles Trail Junction on the top. The 3-mi group will definitely climb at a slower pace and rest more than the 6-mi group—not to worry!
We’ll then meander in a loop on Los Robles Trail for another 2 miles ending near the parking lot where the 3-mi group will veer off to finish their hike.
