Rye, NY: New York Chapter, Rye Caminito

Join the NYC chapter for a caminito on March 29, 2025 in the city and town of Rye in Westchester County, NY. We will do a loop from the Rye metro north train station walking 6/7 miles taking 4/5 hours. Pilgrims taking the train can meet us at the clock at Grand Central Terminal (GCT) at 9:55am having already purchased a round trip ticket to Rye for the 10:05 train. Train riders can also board at Harlem and Fordham stations and other points further north. Drivers can park for free at the Rye station. We will all meet there at 11am. We will stop at a bakery or two at the start (second breakfast). There will not a formal lunch break but several snack and bathroom breaks. Pilgrims should bring water and possibly a snack. We will walk through and visit several parks and preserves including Playland and possibly an historic house. The route is mostly flat on sidewalks and dirt paths. At the end of the walk there will be an optional late lunch/early dinner at a local restaurant. Possibly Spanish/Mexican or another cuisine. Trains return to the City every half hour.
