This is an easy 4-mile hike. We will hike along Pima Canyon Loop trail (formerly East Loop) hoping to see the neighborhood coyotes or javelina. We will use a combination of Beverly Canyon Trail, East Loop, West Loop to achieve our 4 miles.

The terrain is comparable to leaving Pamplona on the Camino Francés – without the climb to Alto del Perdón. Your guide will point out trails in the area that are good for training for higher elevation days along the Camino (ex: SJDPP to Roncesvalles or O’Cebreiro or the Camino del Norte). Maximum elevation gain for easy level is 200ft. Allow 1.5 hours for this hike.

BRING: Sturdy walking shoes, water, a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, snacks, if desired. Walking sticks are not required. Bring a personalized first aid kit, which may include one day’s medications. This is a great trail to get used to the weight of your pack.

We are balancing our desires to get out and hike with the continued guidance from the CDC and the American Pilgrims on the Camino organization. Therefore, our hiking group shall not exceed 10 people. If more than 10 people show up, we will split into two groups.

Stay home if you are sick or not feeling well. If you are not vaccinated, bring face coverings, like masks or buff/bandanas, to wear upon arrival at the trailhead.
