One of the great opportunities for pilgrims heading to Santiago is to have a time to express gratitude and for fellow pilgrims to offer their well-wishes to one another.

This chapter has not had a Shell Ceremony for a few years…even well before the pandemic. As we find a new normal and the Camino continues to reawaken, several have expressed an interest in having a Shell Ceremony.

It is with great joy that we invite you to a shell ceremony on Sunday, May 1, 4pm at Simpsonwood United Methodist Church. After the shell ceremony we’ll share in a meal at Mojitos Bistro Cuban Restaurant–they have the best cafe con leche this side of Finsterre!

Please bring your hopes, your shells, and your stories!
