The Camino de Santiago was one of the three great pilgrimages of Medieval Europe. Many of you have walked the Camino, or have plans to do so, each for his or her own personal type of pilgrimage. But what is a pilgrimage? Simon Reeve explores that question in a 3-part series made for the BBC called Pilgrimage. Join us as we discuss Part I — "Canterbury". You should watch the program on your own beforehand, then we'll meet to discuss and share our insights.

Episodes 2 and 3 will be scheduled in the near future:
#2: Santiago and Rome
#3: The Holy Land

Some ideas for the meeting: Had you seen this series before? What words would you use to recommend the film to others - or not? How do think the medieval Canterbury pilgrimage would have differed from that to Santiago? What do you think a pilgrimage is?

Send us an RSVP and we'll reply with the password! Include "Canterbury", your first and last name and your email address.
