Lincoln, MA: Boston Chapter, Patriots Day Weekend Battle Road Training Walk

Join the American Pilgrims Boston Chapter for a moderately difficult 12-mile out-and-back along historic Battle Road in Minute Man National Historical Park. This walk follows restored carriage roads that are mostly flat and that travel through a restored historic landscape, and passes the place where Paul Revere was captured by the British redcoats on the first day of the American War for Independence. Plan for 7 hours.

This walk will be held rain or shine; extreme weather cancels. The group will stop for food and rest in downtown Concord, the midpoint of the walk. We hope to have a short shell ceremony for those who are getting ready to go on their first Camino this year.

Participants are encouraged to don their fully-loaded packs. Meet at the Minute Man Visitor Center Lot at 210 North Great Road in Lincoln, MA 01773. The walk’s guide, Boston Chapter Coordinator Joe Harris, will have a red bandanna and a red pack.
