Location

South of Larkspur, CO west of I-25, and north of Palmer Lake. From I-25, exit at E. Greenland Rd and turn west. Greenland Rd becomes Noe Rd. Follow that west until the intersection with Spruce Mountain Rd. Turn south and travel to the trailhead on the west side of the road. Join us on this 5.5-mile hike to Spruce Mountain, a limestone butte that creates a bit of an island along the plains. Enjoy views of Pikes Peak, Rampart Range, the Greenland Open Space and the Palmer Divide. Meet in the parking lot at 8:15 a.m. for an 8:30 start. Toilets are available at the parking area. It can be windy on the southern edge of the butte so dress accordingly!
