La Jolla Shores-Blacks Beach
Want to practice walking with your rain gear? Sunday’s hike may offer that opportunity!
Rain or Shine – let’s hike La Jolla Shores-Blacks Beach on Sunday morning. The walk will be about 7 miles.
Two cautions:
1) The morning hike north to Blacks will be during medium tide and we will be up against the cliff hiking on a trail with rocks. If you are not comfortable on rough terrain, please do not attend.
2) Blacks beach is a clothing optional; you may see some nudists – ( However, the temperature will be high 50s and rainy so .???)……
Where: Meet on the sidewalk in front of the La Jolla Shores lifeguard station at 8:15a.We’ll leave promptly at 8:30a. Parking is difficult at the Shores on weekends so give yourself time to park. This walk is on the beach and on rocky trails. Bring water, a snack, layers including rain gear (jacket or poncho), walking shoes, sun screen, sunglasses and a hat. I bring trekking poles. Everyone is responsible for their own health and safety. Bring and share your Camino stories. We can enjoy a beverage and/or lunch afterwards at La Jolla Beach and Tennis Club (optional) Fee;
