Our 3rd Sunday tertulias have been in abeyance since last March and we’re still in a situation where having one indoors wouldn’t work very well. (Or it will simply be contrary to the COVID rules and regs.) So we’re going to try a tertulia in the park.

You may have seen the news that our old haunt, The Goods Restaurant, has been reinvented as The Route 40 Café. (Route 40 as in U.S. Route 40, in Denver aka Colfax Avenue!) Mark Whistler is still the owner. You can read the story here:
theknow.denverpost.com/2020/06/29/route-40-cafe-denver-colfax-museum-the-goods-restaurant-closed/241208

So we’re proposing a tertulia in City Park not far from the Route 40 Café. Click HERE for a satellite image of the location. (Look for a large yellow arrow or the Chapter’s banner!) Although certainly not mandatory, we’re suggesting picking up something to-go from the Route 40 and skipping over to the event in the park. (Rosemary fries!) Or just bring something from home. We will be abiding by the then current COVID rules and regs which likely will require us to distance ourselves and to create conversation clusters of 10 or fewer. If you don’t want to sit on the grass bring a lawn chair or blanket. There is likely to be parking available on the Esplanade.

Park rules: Glass bottles and containers are prohibited. American Pilgrims’ insurance policy prohibits the presence of dogs at events. (Obviously exempting certified service animals.)
