Denver, CO: Colorado Front Range Chapter, Camino 8X10

Call for presenters!

Did you just return from the Camino and are you just itching to tell others about it? Or did you walk an epic a few years ago and you’d like to replay it? Or maybe some worthy, Camino-related story? The Colorado Front Range chapter of American Pilgrims again presents “Camino 8X10” — eight presenters each with 10 minutes on the program! One of them could be you!

This is the way this is going to work: The program will be eight presenters, with 2019 first-time peregrinos having signup priority followed by all others. Each will have 10 minutes. We’ll have a backup list in case someone cancels or doesn’t appear. All of this is first to respond, first on the program!

Rules for presenters: The topic is your Camino or a Camino-related topic. Your talk can be in the form of a PowerPoint or Keynote presentation or simply a collection of JPEG images. Or none of those. If simply a folder of JPEGs, they will appear in alphabetical/numerical order by file name, so pay attention to that. Your program must be brought on a USB memory stick – not on your own computer! There will be no limit on the number of slides (be reasonable!) but you will be STRICTLY limited to 10 (that’s TEN) minutes. There will be a timer! And a stage hook! (Just joking about the latter, but you get the point.) Perhaps time for one or two SHORT questions and answers while we’re setting up the next speaker.

Presenters: Practice your talk with a timer! It MUST be no more than 10 minutes in length! Don’t wing it! You’ll be quacked off the stage!

Please respond to ColoradoFrontRange@americanpilgrims.org to get on the program. Include your name, whether or not you are a 2019 first time peregrino, which Camino route or topic you’ll be presenting and how you’ll be bringing your program (PowerPoint, Keynote or simply a collection of JPEGs) on your memory stick. Deadline for submissions will be Tuesday, November 26th midnight. At that point we’ll organize and notify the presenters.

We’ve done this for a number of years running now and it has always been a fun, enlightening and interesting evening! See you there!
