Cost $10 to enter Barr Lake, unless you have an Annual Colorado State Parks pass on your car or 2023 license registration

Are you planning to walk the Camino later this year? Then this is an excellent training hike! It is 8.8 miles to walk around Barr Lake. And even if you are not walking on a Camino route this year…this is a lovely walk, and you will definitely see different bird species! It is a major prairie reservoir and its southern portion is a wildlife refuge to shelter animals and a number of variety of birds unequaled elsewhere in Colorado.
Post Hike we will gather for a picnic near the Nature Center…so bring food and drink along and pack them in a cooler in your car. We will talk more Camino and touch base on how we feel after almost 9 miles!
