Albuquerque, NM: Albuquerque Chapter, Rinconada Petroglyph Hike and Happy Hour

Starting at the trailhead, we’ll be hiking along the escarpment. As we walk along the trail, we’ll see many petroglyphs etched into the dark rocks. The trail is a loop, but could also be an out and back hike, making for the possibility of seeing petroglyphs we missed on the way in. This is a well marked, sandy trail, with some rocks. It’s only 2 miles, with an elevation gain of a mere 118 feet. Easy – which allows focus on the petroglyphs! Taking time to find and view the art, takes ~1-1.5 hours.
