Albuquerque, NM: Albuquerque Chapter, Day after Thanksgiving Walk

Meet at the Sandia Foothills Embudo Canyon Trailhead Parking. This is at the end of Menaul Blvd. NE

We will NOT be walking up in the foothills, nor on rocky paths and over boulders. It’s the day after Thanksgiving! This walk is approximately 3.77 miles on gravel paths, bicycle/pedestrian pathways, and city sidewalks. We will also walk through Casa Grande Linear Park.

Our walk has a 210-foot elevation gain, and the last part of the walk involves a little bit of a challenge. But no rocky trails or boulders! Allow at least 1.5 hours to complete this walk depending on how fast or slow people are walking. There are very few places along the way to use a restroom and no restrooms at the start/end point.

Bring water, snacks if desired, sunscreen, and a hat. Dress appropriately for the weather. No hiking poles are necessary.
