Morrow Mountain State Park

Take off mid-week and join us for a hike at Morrow Mountain State Park. Wednesday, July 20th is the date.

Plan to arrive by 9:45am for a 10:00am step-off time.

We’ll start together on the Morrow Mountain Trail. One group will make a turn-around at about the 2.5 mile mark, for a total hike of 5 miles which would be considered moderatley strenuous. The other will continue to the Mountain Loop, adding some elevation and an additional 1 mile to the total which would be considered strenuous. This is a natural-surface trail. While the temperatures in July can be challenging, you will enjoy lots of shade beneath a canopy of trees. Please ensure you have adequate hydration.

Arrival 9:45am – Hike starts at 10:00am in the Visitor Center parking lot.

Restroom facilities are available at the parking area inside the Visitor Center.

There is a shelter at the Visitors Center for those wishing to bring a post-hike lunch. We had a great picnic crowd on our last visit in 2021. There will be a prize for the best picnic feast! Please bring a chair.
