Talent, OR: Southern Oregon, Bear Creek Greenway Training Walk

Our training walks are designed to approximate the average daily distance on the Camino.

We will be trying something a little different this time. Meeting at Lynn Newbry Park in Talent at 11 am.

This is a “Choose Your Own Adventure” walk. You can choose to walk either 5.4, 9.2, or 14.8 miles
First we will walk north to Clyde’s Corner where we will have lunch before heading back to Talent, or you can bring a lunch to eat at Blue Heron Park. This portion is 5.4 miles.

There will then be two options to extend the walk – continue on the Wrangler’s Arena (our normal turnaround spot near Ashland), then turn around and go back to Lynn Newbry Park. The total distance of this section plus the first section is 9.2 miles. Or for a total walk of 14.8 miles you can continue on to the Ashland Dog Park.

This is all flat paved terrain on the bike trail.

Due to insurance concerns dogs or other pets are not permitted at chapter events, including hikes and walks

Bring water, warm clothing and rain gear if necessary
